About the event
As of April 2018, South Africa has a new regulatory model, which will have authority over every firm or business that offers a financial product or service. This new system will be known as the Twin Peaks model and abolishes the notion of separate regulators.
The two fundamental objectives of the model are to firstly strengthen South Africa’s approach to consumer protection, and secondly, market conduct within financial services.
